Curtain Hanging Styles for Your Home
If you’ve been shopping for curtains, you probably know there are so many different styles available to choose from. In this post, I want to go over all the different types and styles of headers available, which ones you should be buying, and which ones you should be avoiding.
Let’s get into it.
Tab Top Curtain hanging style
In our list the first curtain is tab top curtains. I’m sure you’ve seen this style a lot before. These types of curtains are definitely very popular that a lot of stores carry, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you should be buying them (Does not mean you should not buy them). First know the pros and cons of this type then decide yourself, simple.
This style features a simple tab on top of the curtain, hence the name “tab top”, and the rod simply slides through that tab. These are very simple and you’re done hanging them. It’s pretty simple and straightforward, and you’re going to see this style a lot if you’re buying your curtains at various marketplaces, like Amazon, Walmart etc.
To me, they look a little casual and slightly dated, so I would probably stay away from this style. They would probably look good in a child’s room or maybe even a nursery if you wanted to go that route. Other than that, I really feel like you should choose a different style for your living rooms and bedrooms. But these can be considered for office windows, hall windows etc.
The next curtain style I want to cover is rod pocket curtains.
Rod pocket curtain hanging style
These are also readily available and super easy to find- they’re kind of everywhere. People face some problems in the open and close. Sometimes these curtains get stuck on the rod. But the positive side of these curtains are that they do not need any kind of additional hardware to install, and also they cover all the curtain rod. Rod pocket panels are typically one of the most inexpensive types of curtains.
If you are using lightweight fabric then they work well, but on the other hand, Heavy materials can create too much friction on the rod, making the curtains incredibly stiff and hard to adjust.
Back tab curtain
The third option I want to talk about is back tab curtains. These are similar to tab top curtains, except the tab is at the back of the curtain, so you don’t really see it.
This design creates a uniform and pleated appearance while hiding the hardware. These curtains are a popular choice for minimalist and contemporary spaces.
Although they look very neat from the front; however, you may still get a bit of pain to open and close to it. If you do like this look but want something a little more practical, keep reading the post, we have discussed solutions for you.
