1- Curtain Rod Width (Horizontal Placement)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When you install a curtain rod in search of a good look, its position and size are very important. The first thing, if we talk horizontally, is that the width of your curtain rod should be slightly more than your window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is, your curtain rod should be 6 inches longer on the left side and 6 inches longer on the right side, extending beyond the window or door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, if your window is 6 feet wide, you should get a 7-foot curtain rod, where 6 inches of the rod will extend to the left of your window and 6 inches will extend to the right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The benefit of this will be that when you open the curtains, the windows and doors will be completely open and not covered by the curtains. Because of this, the size of your window will also appear larger and you will get the full opening. These greatly improve the modern and rich look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2- Curtain Rod Height (Vertical Placement)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the horizontal width of the curtain rod, the second important thing you need to keep in mind is the placement of the curtain rod. If you place it directly above the window, your look will not be enhanced. Many people install the curtain rod flush with the top of the window. You should not do this at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should keep the height of the curtain rod as high as possible, as there is a growing trend for large curtains nowadays. In this style, your curtains start directly from the ceiling and go down to the flooring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To maintain this, you have to place the curtain rod much higher than the window. You should leave a small margin from the ceiling; you can leave a margin of up to 3 inches. After that, you should install the curtain rod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In some places, this curtain rod is hidden directly inside the false ceiling, so the curtain rod is not visible. Your curtain starts directly from the false ceiling and goes toward the flooring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curtain Height<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After the above, the height of your curtain is also very important. Everyone remains confused about how much the height of the curtain should be, and often you reduce the size of the curtain, because of which you are unable to get that luxury look that you want to see in your room. To give your room a luxury look, you must not make one mistake at all- do not keep the size of the curtain short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the size of the curtain is short, it looks as if the window is large and the curtains have fallen short. This does not look good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  3. Break Puddle:<\/strong> In this, the curtain rests slightly less on the floor. That is, the curtain stays on the floor by about 1 to 2 inches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Float (Best Option):<\/strong> In this, the curtain stays 1 inch above the floor. Because of this, the curtain does not touch the floor, making maintenance easy. There is one problem with the three options above- while they look good, they are difficult to maintain. The curtain can get spoiled during mopping.
